Phatshoane Henney New Breed Art Competition 2018
Dates:
18 October - 25 November 2018
Description:
Now in its third year, the official 2018 Phatshoane Henney New Breed Art Competition exhibition is showcasing the largest number of artworks since the inception of this first-of-its-kind competition in 2016.
A total of 54 outstanding artworks by 45 new and upcoming Free State artists are being exhibited at Oliewenhuis Art Museum, showcasing an exciting variety of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and ceramic, cement and mixed media artworks. Of these only five artists can emerge as the 2018 competition winners.
To show your support for Free State artists, vote for your favourite artist to win the Public Choice Award by 5 November 2018. The Public Choice Award will go to the artist who receives the most online votes on the official art competition website and will receive R10 000 in prize money.
The winners will be announced on 8 November 2018.
